Everett’s 1st Birthday

We love when we get to use our photography to bless others and it was so fun to capture these special moments from Everett’s first birthday. Something special about this birthday is that we actually photographed his sisters 1st birthday also. For this blog I want to tell you a little bit about their family.

Everett’s grandma Gayle is the best person I know at capturing the special moments. She always has her video camera handy to save every event and milestone. I loved hearing her daughter Lindsay talk about how special it is to be able to watch videos of herself at the same age of her own children.

I have to say Gayle is not only good at capturing these moments but she also has become a professional at cataloging them. I know so many parents, myself included who take the photos or the videos but then they just sit on the flash drive or in digital storage. But Gayle put their home videos on DVDs that her kids can pop into a DVD player and watch. And yes each of her children have their own copies. What a Blessing!!

Now this is one of the reason that I love that they had us come photograph Everett’s birthday. Often the person who is good at capturing the moment is missing from the photos and videos. I think every mom can relate to this, how many of us have tons of photos of our kids with their dad but few good photos with us and our kids. It is so important to me that I included photos of the kiddos with their grandparents.

We love it when parents get to be on the other side of the camera. By hiring us to photograph your children’s special moments you get the chance to be more present with them. Some of my favorite photos from 1st birthdays are the ones with mommas and their kids just doing normal life.
